One of the arguments for and against this regulation are numerous with one person saying ?it is tieing the education establishments up with beurocratic red tape? the other stating ?the levels of education establishments is increasing because of them, and allowing the parents to make an informed decision?.

Whether your child has special needs, requiring for example support with dyslexia or attention deficit disorder the reports allow you to view which schools locally might provide best for your family.

Having looked at the ofsted reports you might find that the schools in your catchment area are not for you. As an alternative you might look at sending your child to a boarding school where your child could have smaller class sizes and a higher standard of education, many boarding schools offering scholarships or bursaries.
